This Friday, the K-EARTH 101 Morning Show welcomes original MTV VJ Nina Blackwood and The Bangles frontwoman Susanna Hoffs along with singer Matthew Sweet in studio to help us kick off K-EARTH 101’s ‘I Want My MTV’ weekend!

Starting Friday, Oct. 11th at 7 a.m., K-EARTH will be “going video” by playing all those classic songs from the golden years of MTV from the very first video ever played “Video Killed The Radio Star” by the Buggles to The Bangles’ No. 1 hit “Walk Like An Egyptian,” plus everything in between!

Tune in to relive all the memories and the music from MTV’s first decade after its original launch over 30 years ago on August 1, 1981 during K-EARTH 101’s ‘I Want My MTV’ weekend!

To gear up for hours of classic MTV music and our guests joining us Friday, let’s go back in time and re-watch The Bangles’ monstrous hit “Walk Like An Egyptian,” which was nominated for Best Group Video in the 1987 MTV Video Music Awards. Watch below to see why!
