The creator and executive producer of the hit Disney Junior animated series Doc McStuffins, Chris Nee, joined The K-EARTH 101 Morning Show to talk about an exciting free family event this Thursday!
The show is bringing its Doc Mobile to The Grove in Los Angeles this Thursday, Sept. 26th for a free event all about teaching kids the importance of health and wellness.
“We have the Doc-Mobile coming and it is a live event that’s free and open to the public…” explained Chris. “Kids can come and they can learn about taking care of themselves inside of what looks like our clinic…there’s dancing, there’s interaction with our characters, and they can do a check-up and there are going to be doctors there from the Artemis Medical Society that will be talking to kids about living a healthy lifestyle and maybe growing up to be doctors one day themselves.”
The show has grown widely popular with young children, but just exactly how did Chris come up with the show’s unique concept? In the place where all great ideas come to people.
“In the shower,” she laughed. “By the end I had the whole show, including the name, and I walked out and called my best friend and I said ‘I got the show that I will sell.’ I couldn’t have imagined that this much would happen with it, but I knew I was on to something.”
