The Award For Shortest Emmys Acceptance Speech Goes To…Merritt Weaver!

Well, last night there were plenty of surprises, big winners and a jam-packed evening of stars during Sunday night’s 65th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards.

Call it lucky number four for America’s favorite Modern Family, who took home the award for Best comedy Series for the fourth consecutive year.

Jeff Daniels of Newsroom beat out favorites like Bryan Cranston and Kevin Spacey for Best Lead Actor in a Drama Series and Julia Louis-Dreyfus accepted her award for Best Actress in a Comedy Series in Veep.

But it was standout who stole the show with her hilarious and charming acceptance speech. Actress Merritt Weaver won Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series in Nurse Jackie, and also won the unofficial award for the shortest acceptance speech ever.
