The Dodgers had plenty to celebrate Thursday night after clinching the NL West title with a 7-6 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks in Phoenix, reports CBS LA. It’s the first time in four years the Dodgers made their way into the playoffs.
The boys in blue let loose after clinching their way in to the playoffs with champagne and beer showers in the clubhouse, and many of the players took their excitement back out on the field where they took a dip in Arizona’s Chase Field swimming pool.
Players raced back on to the field after the stadium cleared out and scaled the center-field wall to jump in the pool for a little extra celebration.
However, Arizona was none too pleased about the Dodgers’ boisterous victory dip in the pool, according to ESPN LA.
“I think it’s tired and disrespectful,” Arizona’s infielder Willie Bloomquist said. “It’s surprising, because they have a lot of veteran guys on that team that I thought were classier than that.”
We just have one thing to say…GO DODGERS!
