The rags to riches story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons is one of the most inspiring in music history, so much so, that it’s been transformed into the hugely popular Broadway play Jersey Boys, and now into a movie!
Frankie Valli himself called the K-EARTH 101 Morning Show to tells us about his upcoming L.A. show, plus give some behind-the-scenes updates on the current production of the movie based on his life under the direction of Oscar-winner Clint Eastwood.
Frankie says that he’s been on set of the production, which is being shot in parts at the moment. He also told us about meeting Clint for the first time.
“He’s terrific. I was a big fan for many, many years, and getting to meet him was terrific,” said Frankie. “It will be a lot like the play, except things that you can’t do in a play that you can do in a play – it’s very interesting.”
Frankie adds that “there are a couple of the people who have been in the [play] production,” who are appearing in the movie version as well, but will Frankie and the boys be making a special cameo?
Unfortunately, Frankie says the answer is “no.”
However, you can still catch Frankie and the Four Seasons live on stage at the Saban Theater on Friday, September 27th at 9 p.m. For tickets to the show, click here.
“We’re real excited, it’s been a long time since we played L.A. – it’s exciting,” said Frankie.
