How ultra-realistic are the new LG high-definition TVs? So realistic that the company fooled unsuspecting victims into thinking it was the end of the world.

A new ‘prankvertisement’ video for LG Electronics in Chile has gone viral for its elaborate trick of fooling unsuspecting job interviewees into thinking a giant meteor fell from the sky and crashed into the buildings below.

The pranksters installed one of LG’s new 84-inch HD TVs into the window display with an image of the cityscape, making it look to the hopeful interviewees like skyline was just outside. As the interview goes on, the victims react in horror when a meteor comes down from the sky and wipes out the city just out the fake window. They even go as far as turning out the lights in the office to make the prank even more believable.
