On ‘Tickets @ 2′ for this Monday, it’s James Taylor’s “Your Smiling Face.” It’s from the JT album, Taylor’s eighth album for Columbia Records, released in June of 1977.

The album was Taylor’s highest charting album since Mud Slide Slim and the Blue Horizon. JT peaked at number six, selling over 3.5 million copies in the US alone.

At the 1978 Grammy Awards, Taylor won the Best Pop Male Vocal Performance award.

The album was produced by our old friend Peter Asher of Peter & Gordon fame.

When we play it between two and three we’ll take caller # 7 at 1-800-232-KRTH (5784) to win a pair of tickets to see Roll Over Beethoven – From Rock To Bach, Sunday at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre.
