Katherine Jackson To Take The Stand In AEG Wrongful Death Trial
The Michael Jackson wrongful death trial continues today and in the courthouse reporting on the daily proceedings is Margaret Carrero from our sister station KNX 1070. Margaret joined us this morning to give us the latest details on what’s happening in the courtroom.
“The plaintiffs are going to be wrapping up their case…and of course they’re coming out with a bang with Katherine Jackson, Michael’s 83-year-old mother, she will be taking the witness stand later this morning,” said Margaret.
On what Katherine Jackson will testify on the stand, Margaret says that she’ll mostly be focused on the personal impact Michael’s death was to their family and the entire world.
“She’s really going to be testify on the personal loss that was suffered by her and Michael’s three children…that’s the whole reason essentially why she leveled this lawsuit against AEG Live,” explained Margaret. “She’s going to be bringing this human element of the case front and center before the jury…she really just want to tell the world who her son was…and the tremendous loss that was suffered, not just by them, but by the world because he was a humanitarian.”
