Today, July 17th, marks the 58th anniversary of the grand opening of the ‘Happiest Place On Earth’!

Disneyland first opened to the public on this day in 1955 in Anaheim, and was the first of the two theme parks to be built, and the only one to be built under supervision and design of Walt Disney himself.

To celebrate the anniversary of the beloved theme park that’s still making wishes comes true, we found a vintage video from the opening day of Disneyland that shows just how far this destination has come after all these years.

The video is filled with nostalgia of Disneyland past with retro cars, vintage rides and attractions, but still has that same Disney magic the park brings today. Watch the video below:
