In a recent interview Nile Rodgers revealed that he would be reuniting with Daft Punk for another musical collaboration.

Rodgers told DJJAZZtv that he’d recently found a couple of unfinished Chic tracks in the archives of the Warner Music tape library.

“They had Johnny Mathis inside, they had my film scores, they had Nile Rodgers solo tracks, they had Chic tracks that were not designed for any project,” he explained.

Rodgers would like to complete the unfinished tracks from his old band — and says the guys of Daft Punk have already offered their services.

“Daft Punk wants to do at least one of them with me, so that should be very cool,” Rodgers explained. “Because they respect the music, they understand.”

No word yet on when Rodgers is hitting the studio to complete the Chic tracks.
