Why sit around watching a game show on TV when you can be part of the actual live audience? That’s what America’s favorite game show host Bob Eubanks is giving avid game show enthusiasts a chance to do with his new live concept America’s Greatest Game Shows coming soon to Madame Tussauds in Hollywood!
Bob stopped by The K-EARTH 101 Morning Show to talk about his new game show, which also features a revolving door of some of the most iconic game show hosts in history including Wink Martindale, Chuck Woolery, Jamie Farr and Peter Marshall.
Here’s how the show works; Beginning July 4th, Bob (or another one of the featured personalities) will host a live show seven days a week on the roof of Madame Tussauds in Hollywood two times a day at 1 and 4 p.m.
The 75 minute show will invite 40 contestants up on stage to play one of nine different games that include music, relationship, performing games and more, and the best part is, everyone who gets on stage wins a prize!! At the end of the show, one of the previous contestants has a chance to win a grand prize of $100,000!
“We play games, and they’re fun. It’s a wonderful show,” said Bob. “If you got people coming in from out of town, bring them down there, because you’ll have a great time, I promise you.”
In addition to being the iconic host of The Newlywed Game, many fans may not know that Bob has produced hundreds of live concerts during his career, including The Beatles’ first (and second and third) show at The Hollywood Bowl.
From his over 20 years as a concert promoter of some of the biggest bands in the world, Bob has seen many of the crazy backstage demands made by groups on their riders, including the Fab Four.
“In 1964, the Beatle rider was the ‘producer will provide an adequate sound system, a case of Coke-a-Cola and a television,’ and I said ‘get your own television,” laughed Bob.
