By now, you’ve heard all the warnings of “record-setting” and “life-threatening” heat to hit across Southern California this weekend, according to L.A. Times.
The National Weather Service has issued several warnings for areas in San Fernando, San Gabriel, Santa Clarita and Antelope valleys, as well as the valleys of the Inland Empire, reports KTLA. Temperatures are expected to be in the 80s along the coast and reach upwards of the 90s in downtown L.A.
So, to help beat the heat, L.A. County has opened 89 cooling centers to give SoCal residents some relief from the excessive summer temps.
