Happy Friday! Today’s ‘Tickets @ 2′ song is “Your Smiling Face” by James Taylor. James mother is a Classical Soprano star Gertrude Woodward and his father is Doctor Isaac Taylor.

Taylor’s producer through much of the 70s was Peter Asher, formerly of the 60s English duo Peter And Gordon. Peter discovered James when he was working at The Beatles Apple Records label in London. Taylor was kicking a drug habit while living in London, even though he was born in Boston, Massachusetts.

Garth Brooks is a big fan, and named his first child Taylor in honor of James.

When we play “Your Smiling Face” between two and three we’ll take caller # 7 at 1-800-232-KRTH (5784)to win a pair of tickets to a Bowl tradition, the Grease Sing-Along at the Hollywood Bowl Saturday July 13th.
