Once again, Alec Baldwin unleashed a stunning rant on Twitter, this time directed towards a reporter.
It started all started over a story posted on the Daily Mail about Baldwin’s wife, Hilaria, with claims that she was tweeting during the funeral service for actor James Gandolfini in New York on Thursday.
Baldwin went off on the reporter who wrote the story in an epic meltdown on Twitter, writing a series of expletive-laced updates: “How much of this s*** are people supposed to take? With these f****** blatant lies EVERY DAY” and even threats: “Someone wrote that my wife was tweeting at a funeral. Hey. That’s not true. But I’m gonna tweet at your funeral.”
Sources close to the couple claim that Baldwin’s wife does not even believe in bringing phones to a funeral service and especially wasn’t tweeting during the service.
The problem with this claim is that Hilaria’s Twitter feed show at least five tweets during that time period. However, it is possible to schedule tweets ahead of time to post automatically, or it’s possible that her assistant had access to her account and was posting updates.
In a statement released on Friday following the rant, Baldwin said, “It’s disgraceful that a reporter would manufacture and publish a story and not call for comment or explanation — especially when it’s intended to take away attention from honoring the memory of a beloved figure like James Gandolfini,” reports CNN.
Baldwin’s wife later weighed in on the claims, tweeting, “I hope that this reporter knows how much pain and drama he has caused from his poor journalism. Lying and bullying are shameful.”
Regardless, Baldwin went bananas towards the reporter who wrote the story in a Twitter tirade that including several threats to his life. His twitter account was later deleted after the series of updates.
