Paula Deen showed up to the Today Show this morning to open up on allegations using racial slurs and the fallout that happened after in an emotional interview with co-host Matt Lauer.

Deen told Lauer that she was overwhelmed with and insisted that she is not a racist when Lauer asked her bluntly, but said that she is prejudice against two kinds of people, “thieves and liars.”

“I have apologized, and I have never, ever…with any intention hurt anybody on purpose,” Deen said. “What you see is what you get…I’m heartbroken…I’ve had to hold friends in my arms who have sobbed because they know what’s been said about me.”

“I is what I is, and I’m not changing,” Deen added.
