Tempers ran high during Tuesday night’s Dodgers game against the Arizona Diamondbacks, where both teams engaged in a massive, bench-clearing brawl that had even the coaches throwing punches.

According to CBS LA, “it all started in the top of the fifth when Dodgers’ Greinke hit Cody Ross with a pitch. In the bottom of the sixth, Kennedy threw a 92 mph fastball that hit Dodgers rookie phenom Yasiel Puig in the nose.”

When the top of the seventh inning came around, Greinke hit Diamondback catcher Miguel Montero in the back, where warnings were issued to both teams.

With tensions high, Diamondbacks’ Kennedy retaliated at the Dodgers by throwing a pitch that hit Greinke in the head, which led to this massive brawl everyone’s talking about this morning.

The brawl resulted in Kennedy, Puig, Dodgers’ hitting coach Mark McGwire, Arizona manager Kirk Gibson, Ronald Belisario and Diamonbacks assistant hitting coach Turner Ward getting ejected from the game.

In the end, Dodgers prevailed winning the game 5-3. For more on the brawl, visit CBS LA.
