Did You Know: “(There’s) Always Something There To Remind Me” By Naked Eyes

Today on ‘Tickets @ 2’ listen for Naked Eyes and “Always Something There to Remind Me.” It’s a cover of the Burt Bacharach & Hal David composition first recorded by Dionne Warwick.

Naked Eyes is a British New Wave band that came on the scene in the early 1980s. Formed by two friends from Bath, England: Pete Byrne on vocals and Rob Fisher on keyboards. The two formerly played in a band called Neon, which also featured future members of Tears for Fears.

Naked Eyes was one of the first bands to make significant use of the Fairlight CMI sampling synthesizer on a recording.

When we play it between two and three we’ll take caller #10 at 1-800-232-KRTH (5784) to win a pair of tickets to see The Midtown Men-Four Stars from the original cast of Jersey Boys, Thursday, June 13th.
