Today’s ‘Tickets @ 2′ song is “Night Moves” by Bob Seger. Seger says the song is autobiographical. The girl had a boyfriend away in the military, and when he came back, she married him, breaking Seger’s heart.

Bob Seger was inspired by the movie American Graffiti. He says, “I came out of the theater thinking, Hey, I’ve a story to tell too.” When people ask ‘Do you know when you’ve written a hit?’ the usual answer is no. This song was an exception.”

Rolling Stone magazine named this the Single Of The Year for 1977.

When we play it between two and three we’ll take caller 10 at 1-800-232-KRTH (5784) to win a pair of tickets to see The Midtown Men-Four Stars from the original cast of “Jersey Boys” Thursday June 13th at the Segerstrom Concert Hall. Good Luck!
