Angelina Jolie Makes First Red Carpet Appearance Since Double Mastectomy
Angelina Jolie made her first public appearance since she revealing she had a preventative double mastectomy last month. She joined hubby Brad Pitt on the red carpet Sunday night for the London premiere of his new film World War Z, looking stunning and feeling great in the spotlight once again.
“I feel great, I feel wonderful,” Jolie told reporters. “I’m very, very grateful for all the support.”
Jolie first wrote about her decision to have a preventive double mastectomy in the New York Times two weeks ago, saying that she went public to make other women aware of their options.
“I’m very happy to see the discussion about women’s health expanded. It means the world to me,” she said on the red carpet.
The 37-year-old actress will reportedly undergo a preventative hysterectomy later this year. As you know, Jolie lost her mother to ovarian cancer in 2007.
