This afternoon the ‘Tickets @ 2′ song is a number-one hit from 1974, “Rock Your Baby” by George McCrae.

The song was written by Harry Wayne Casey (KC of KC & The Sunshine Band) and Richard Finch, a member of KC & The Sunshine Band. The song was released on T.K. Records. One of the artists who recorded at T.K. Records was Timmy Thomas, who had a hit with “Why Can’t We Live Together?”

The organ used in that recording was left in the studio, and is the same organ you hear in “Rock Your Baby.” It’s an old Lowry organ.

“Rock Your Baby” was voted the #1 Single of the Year by Rolling Stone magazine.

When we play it between two and three we’ll take caller #8 at 1-800-232-KRTH (5784) to win a pair of tickets to see Peter Frampton ‘live’ August 24th under the stars at the Greek.
