Did You Know: “The Cisco Kid” By War

Today’s ‘Tickets @ 2’ song is “The Cisco Kid” by War. The Cisco Kid was a popular TV show that ran from 1950 to 1956, and also a series of movies. The title character, played by Duncan Renaldo in the TV show, was a Mexican cowboy embarking on various adventures set in the Old West.

War guitarist Howard Scott came up with the idea, spawned by other cowboy characters like Hopalong Cassidy, Gene Autry, and Roy Rogers.

When we play the song between two and three we’ll take caller #7 to win a pair of tickets to see the stage play “Sleepless In Seattle” come to life before your eyes at the Pasadena Playhouse. Call 1-800-232-KRTH (5784) when you hear the cue!
