This afternoon’s ‘Tickets @ 2′ song is “Hollywood Nights” by Bob Seger. Bob said the chorus came into his head one night in 1977 as he was driving through the Hollywood Hills. “Our drummer, David Teegarden, played an entire set of drums as we recorded and overdubbed another entire set of drums playing a different pattern. In other words, there’s two sets of everything: snare, kick-drum, hi-hat, etc.”

It charted at #12 when it was released in 1978 from the album Stranger In Town. Being from Detroit in a sense he was.

When we play it between two and three we’ll take caller #10 at 1-800-232-KRTH (5784) to win a pair of tickets to Madame Tussauds Hollywood, where you can see, touch, and take pictures with Hollywood Celebrities.
