Did You Know: “Maneater” By Hall & Oates

This afternoon between two and three our ‘Tickets @ 2′ featured song is “Maneater” by Hall & Oates. It’s a #1 hit from their H2O album.

It’s all about a seductive woman with expensive tastes that she uses men to satisfy.

It’s a showcase song for Hall & Oates sax player Charles “Mr. Casual” DeChant, who appears in the video that was an MTV staple in 1982.

This is one of several Hall & Oates Songs that Daryl Hall’s longtime girlfriend Sara Allen had a hand in writing. “Maneater” was used in the soundtrack to the Julia Roberts and Richard Gere movie Runaway Bride.

When you hear it be the lucky 13th caller at 1-800-232-KRTH (5784) and win ’em before you can buy ’em, tickets to see Ray Manzarek and Robbie Krieger of The Doors this summer at the Pacific Amphitheatre.
