Did You Know: “Mony Mony” By Tommy James

“Mony Mony” is back on ‘Tickets @ 2,” the Tommy James party song from 1968.

As we’ve mentioned in the past he got the title idea from a neon sign in the neon jungle of New York, “Mony Mony” could be a girls name, but really it’s short for Mutual Of New York, Insurance. Tommy saw the sign lit up atop a New York high rise.

When we play it between two and three we’ll take caller #8 at 1-800-232-KRTH (5784) to win ’em before you can buy ’em, tickets to see Ray Manzarek and Robbie Krieger of the Doors this summer at the Pacific Amphitheatre.
