Reporting Jim Carson

Today’s ‘Tickets @ 2′ song is the Grand Funk Railroad version of “The Loco-Motion.” Written by songwriters Gerry Goffin and Carole King, first recorded in 1962 by Little Eva. Little Eva was Carole King and Gerry Goffins baby sitter.

In 1974 the band from Flint Michigan, Grand Funk Railroad came along and recorded the song making it a number one hit. The lyrics are devoted to a dance description, a type of line dance.

When we play it between two and three we’ll take caller # 7 at 1-800-232-KRTH (5784) to win a 4-Pack of tickets to attend the 65th Anniversary Hot Rod Homecoming March 23rd and 24th at the Fairplex in Pomona. I’ll be there representing K-EARTH-101 on Saturday March 23rd from 11 am to 1pm.
