The red carpet is officially rolled out and Hollywood Boulevard has transformed into a glamorous staging area for entertainment’s biggest stars all for the Oscars this Sunday.

With just two days left until the big night, industry insiders are making their final predictions as to who will be the big winners of the night, based on previous award shows, critical acclaim and  Oscar buzz.

Mr. Moviefone will be live on ABC 7 covering the “winners walkway” on Sunday, and before the awards are announced, he joined us this morning to give his thoughts on which nominees will win big on Oscar night.

He tells us that the biggest story of this year’s Oscar races was Ben Affleck getting snubbed for Best Director for his nominated movie Argo. He also thinks that snub led to all the attention the film received to make it the frontrunner to win Best Picture this year.

“I think [Argo] has got all the momentum of a runaway train,” Mr. Moviefone said. “I also think because it has won and it really started getting the momentum because Ben Affleck wasn’t nominated. I think the two are sort of related, but it’s interesting that we’ve had so many momentum changes.”

Since Ben was snubbed for Best Director, Mr. Moviefone believes that Stephen Spielberg will win the award for his masterpiece Lincoln, but says he isn’t a lock to win.

“A lot of people talking about Michael Haneke for Amour, Ang Lee for Life Of Pi,” said Moviefone. “There’s one thing we can’t argue with, everybody likes pie!”

On Best Actor and Actress, Mr. Moviefone says Daniel Day-Lewis is a sure win for his “immersive performance” as Abraham Lincoln, and Jennifer Lawrence for her role in Silver Linings Playbook.
