The K-EARTH 101 Morning Show welcomed a special guest on the phone with KTLA’s entertainment reporter Sam Rubin!
Sam will be live on the red carpet for his annual pre-Oscars show on KTLA this Sunday night, and he gave us a little look at what fans can expect from this year’s award show.
“What I think we’re looking forward to is that these are actually movies people have seen with stars that people like,” said Sam. “It’s been a terrific award season.”
Sam adds that movie-goers are all rooting for the movies that are nominated this year because people are engaged with the films and this year’s ceremony is in a “different tier” that the past.
“[The films] all tend to come out at the end of the year…it’s been one good one after another,” said Sam. “A lot of people are seeing these movies more than once.”
So which film does he think will win the big title of Best Picture this year?
“Every precursor suggests that it’s absolutely going to be Argo, so I think it’s absolutely going to be Argo,” said Sam.
As far as the best actor and actress award, Sam predicts that Daniel Day-Lewis and Jennifer Lawrence will take the Oscar.
