This afternoon’s ‘Tickets @ 2′ song of the day is “Do You Believe In Love” by Huey Lewis & the News.

The song was written by John “Mutt” Lange, who produced the band Clover when they were in Great Britain. Huey Lewis and keyboard player Sean Hopper were in Clover, and recorded this song three years later when they formed Huey Lewis & the News. Clover had plenty of critical success in England, but it never translated to record sales. They were the backing band for Elvis Costello on his first album, “My Aim Is True,” although Lewis was not part of those sessions.

This was the first hit for the band, from the album “Picture This.”

When we play it between two and three we’ll take caller number #10 at 1-800-232-KRTH (5784) to win a pair of tickets to spend Valentines Day with the music of Kenny G at the Segerstrom Center for performing Arts.
