Ever wished you could capture the sweet smell of a newborn in a fragrance? Well, thanks to a new luxury perfume from designer brand Dolce and Gabbana, parents will soon be able to enhance the natural scent of a baby using a bottle of its first ever fragrance for children.

According to several news reports, designer Stefano Gabbana teased the product earlier this month by posting a picture of the product box on Instagram with the caption “per I bambini,” which translates as “for children” in Italian. Next to the picture, Gabbana curiously asks “How can babies smell even sweeter than they already do?”

New York Daily News reports that the alcohol-free fragrance will have “notes of citrus, honey, and melon” that’s “designed to cuddle and pamper every little boy and girl.” Gabbana told the news source that the fragrence was inspired by “the softness of baby skin, the freshness of baby breath, a mother’s sweet hug, [and] the first smile.”

That fresh, out-of-the-bottle newborn scent will come with a stiff price tag, however, selling for about $45 per 50-ml bottle.

Though this is the designer companies first foray into a children’s fragrance, it’s not the first time it’s been done. Other luxury brands including Burberry, Bulgari, and L’Occitane, have also released a specialty perfume targeted to bring out the little tykes’ natural smell.

Moms, what do you think of a perfume designed for children….would you buy a bottle for your own?
