CBS 2 News’ investigative reporter David Goldstein stopped by The K-EARTH studios this morning to talk with Gary and Lisa on his latest report on drivers who abuse the use of disabled parking placards here in Southern California.

In California, drivers with a disabled placard can park for free at parking meters, so David used hidden cameras to uncover possible fraudulent misuse of  these placards at parking meters by people who don’t seem disabled.

David visited a local health club where several cars out front had the placards placed in the windshields and were allowed to park for free at the meters unlike everyone else who had to pay.

They captured many of the people using the placards doing vigorous workouts on treadmills, spin bikes, lifting weights and asked them on their way out if they were truly disabled.

David’s investigation airs tonight on CBS 2 News at 11 p.m. Listen to David give a sneak peek of the report in the clip below.
