For some, watching the commercials in between breaks of the Super Bowl is as entertaining as watching the game itself. When a single Super Bowl ad goes for as much as $4 million for a mere thirty second blip during breaks, companies go all out each year to make sure their commercial is memorable, funny, or heartwarming to the consumers watching.

But how do you begin to rank the best of the best Super Bowl ads with so many great ones over the years? Well, USA Today took on that challenge to celebrate their 25th anniversary of the USA Today Ad Meter, which ranks each year’s Super Bowl ads from best to worst.

In honor of the 25th anniversary of the Ad Meter, the publication analyzed the top winners from each year to come up with a champion list of the best ads in the past 24 years.

Without further ado, below are the top 5 greatest Super Bowl ads of the past 25 years, according to USA Today!

1. McDonald’s – “Nothing But Net” (1993)

The two NBA greats, Michael Jordan and Larry Bird, battle it out in the ultimate game of HORSE to see who can top the other’s trick shot for a McDonald’s Big Mac. This ad remains popular to this day with over 5 million YouTube views and was recreated in 2010 with LeBron James and Dwight Howard.

2. Nike – Michael Jordan and Bugs Bunny (1992)

Michael Jordan appears in the top two spots with this earlier Nike ad featuring Bug Bunny, which later became the inspiration for the live-animated film Space Jam.

3. Pepsi – Coke Driver Busted (1996)

A Coke delivery man gets busted on a store’s security cameras grabbing a can of Pepsi while Hank Williams’ “Cheatin’ Heart” playing in the background.

4. Bud Light – Cedric’s Date (2001)

Comedian Cedric The Entertainer stars in this funny ad when his hot date night goes wrong after he shakes up the bottles of Bud Light and beer explodes all over his date.

5. Pepsi – Inner Tube (1995)

This Pepsi ad made waves in ’95 for being the first Super Bowl ad that featured CGI when a young boy tries to get every last drop of Pepsi and sucks himself through the straw and inside the bottle.
