Bikers Stop Traffic On The 10 Freeway For Wedding Proposal

One couple’s engagement literally stopped traffic on the 10 freeway in West Covina on Sunday during an epic wedding proposal in the middle of the freeway.

The CHP reported that hundreds of motorcyclists blocked traffic during a Unity Ride so one man could pop the question to his longtime girlfriend in front of their biker friends and family watching from the overpass.

After the proposal, bikers were seen popping wheelies in celebration and the groom-to-be released pink smoke from his bike before clearing the freeway to let traffic back through.

Watch the proposal in the video below.

Though it was a sweet gesture, CBS LA reports that an off-duty CHP officer happened to be in the area and alerted local enforcement to the commotion and later  “issued 20 citations for what they considered a public safety hazard.”

What do you think of this unusual wedding proposal? Was it a sweet gesture or an endangerment to public safety?
