This year’s opening ceremony of the Oscars will feature a special tribute to the longest running movie franchise in history with a celebration of the 50th Anniversary of James Bond.
Not only will the Academy pay special tribute to 50 years of the films, but rumors are swirling that all six past James Bonds will reunite on stage together for the very first time.
According to DigitalSpy, Sean Connery is said to be lined up to take part in the Bond reunion, which is a big deal considering he’s turned down many offers for Bond celebrations in the past due to disputes with the film’s bosses and his treatment while making the films.
Sources say that “Sean’s relationship with the Oscars is good and we’re hoping he’ll appear,” for the big celebration that will also include Daniel Craig, Sir Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, George Lazenby and Pierce Brosnan together for the first time.
To top off this exciting Bond reunion, Adele has been confirmed to sing her Oscar-nominated song “Skyfall” during this year’s award ceremony as well.
