What’s left to do when you’re a multi-millionaire celebrity, passionate political activist and most eligible bachelor in the world? Conquer the liquor business of course.
At least that’s the focus of actor George Clooney’s new business venture, as the A-lister readies the launch of his own tequila brand called Casamigos Tequila later this month, according to USA Today.
Clooney is taking his love of the smooth adult drink by developing his own with partner Randy Gerber (who just so happens to be supermodel Cindy Crawford’s husband, but more on that later) in effort to make “best-tasting, smoothest tequila whose taste didn’t have to be covered up with salt or lime.”
Featured on the brand’s website, Clooney helps kick off the launch of the tequila in 33 states this month by making a little video short with his friends. Called “It Could Happen,” Clooney gets in bed with supermodel Cindy Crawford, his girlfriend Stacy Keibler and even his brand partner and friend Gerber himself.
“We’ve all been there. A few too many drinks…and next thing you know, you’re in bed with someone you didn’t expect to wake up to,” the video description reads.
The message is accompanied with a reminder to “please drink responsibly,” or your night could end up looking something like this…
Clooney isn’t the only celebrity going into the liquor business this year either. NBA star Shaquille O’Neal announced plans to launch his new line of vodka, Luv Shaq, later this year.
Looks like our glasses will be plenty full in 2013. Cheers!
