Did You Know: “Listen To The Music” By The Doobie Brothers

It’s a ‘Tickets @ 2’ winner from The Doobie Brothers, a song the band’s lead vocalist Tom Johnston “Listen To The Music.” It was their first hit in 1972.

Tom said it was based around a somewhat Utopian view of the world. The idea was that music would lift man up to a higher plane. Tom said: “I was sitting in my bedroom in San Jose. I was doing what I always do, I had been up playing guitar for hours. It was like 2 or 3 in the morning when the opening guitar riff came to me.”

When you “Listen To The Music” between two and three we’ll take caller #10 at 1-800-232-KRTH (5784) to win a pair of tickets to see Cirque Du Soleil’s “Iris” at the Dolby Theatre in Hollwyood before it leaves on the 19th.
