A rainy day is the perfect time to get together with the whole family. Just because it’s nasty outdoors doesn’t mean it has to ruin your whole day. Here are some fun indoor activities to help make the time pass by from being cooped up by the rain.
Bowling: When’s the last time you went bowling with the whole family? It’s a perfect indoor activity for both kids and adults who are looking to get out of the house and still keep dry. Kids love trying to knock down all the pins and seeing their shoelaces glow in the dark from cosmic bowling and parents have a chance to practice their A-game!
Movies: Catch a rainy day matinee with the whole family. There’s plenty of family-friendly movies in theaters now like Johnny Depp’s western animation Rango, the sci-fi adventure Mars Needs Moms (which can also be experienced in IMAX 3D), and Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules opening this Friday!
Museums: Let your curiosity run wild with a fun, educational experience walking through a museum. There’s no shortage of kid-friendly museums in L.A., and kids will have a blast with the hands-on exhibits at the California Science Center, which just so happens to have free admission!
Games: Dust off your old Monopoly board game from the closet and sit around the table for a family game night! Or for those more tech-savvy families, compete on multi-player games on the Wii or Xbox to help pass the time.
