It’s something right out of a movie – a mother and her child are enjoying a nice day in the park in Montreal when a golden eagle flying in the sky suddenly swoops down and snatches the child right from the ground.
Fortunately, the child must have been to heavy for the eagle and quickly releases the child from its claws after just a few feet as the mother dashes to rescue her baby.
The viral video, posted on Dec. 18th, already has 1.2 million views in just one day, and while many viewers can’t believe their eyes at what just happened, some critics are saying that the video is fake.
One critic, blogger Alex Hern, says in NewStatesman, “When the bird swoops down, its shadow pops in one frame after it does. And for one frame, and one frame only, around three seconds in, its right wing becomes transparent.”
You have to have some eagle-eyes to spot that kind of detail, so watch closely at the video below and tell us if you think the baby-snatching eagle is real or fake!
