Do you need access to your favorite Rolling Stones songs, as well as Stones videos and info on the band, 24/7? You’re in luck (if you have an iPhone): there’s an app for that.

The band has just released their official iPhone app. It’s free in the iTunes Store, though you have to pay 99 cents to access exclusive content — which, right now, includes excerpts of the band’s performances of “Doom And Gloom,” “Start Me Up” and “Tumbling Dice” from their recent surprise concert at the Trabeno Theatre in Paris, as well as interview clips with Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ron Wood.

Among the highlights: the segment on technology where at least half the band fall short of endorsing any new technology from the past five decades. Keith Richards points out that most of his guitars were made in the 1950s: “They haven’t made a better (guitar) since. There are some things that you can’t improve upon! You can’t improve on a Stradivarius… you’ll never make a better violin!”  Charlie Watts, meanwhile, notes that he’s “never turned a computer on. I have one! Mick bought me… two, actually. I never learned how to turn it on!”

So while Keith and Charlie aren’t going to get much out of the band’s new app, what will more tech-savvy fans get for downloading it? Among other things, the chance to win tickets to the band’s upcoming shows, “the latest breaking news before anyone else,” photos, a Twitter feed from the band, and the ability to listen to Stones tunes from your music library straight through the app.

That’s not the only video the band have produced lately. They have a new music video for “Doom And Gloom,” one of the two new songs off the Stones’ new GRRR! collection.  Be aware that this video may be NSFW, as it includes brief nudity and violence. No surprise there, as it stars Noomi Rapace, who starred in the original film version of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, as well as Sherlock Holmes: Game Of Shadows and Prometheus.
