Today on ‘Tickets @ 2′ is “Night Moves” by Bob Seger.

The song is about a couple making out in a Chevy. Seger said the song is based on a real life story. The girl had a boyfriend away in the military, and when he came back, she married him, breaking Seger’s heart.

Seger was inspired by the movie American Graffiti. He says, “I came out of the theater thinking, Hey, I have a story to tell too.”

Rolling Stone magazine named the song single of Single Of The Year for 1977.

According to Seger, he and the girl were really making out in a ’62 Chevy, but it didn’t fit lyrically, so he changed the line to “My ’60 Chevy.”

When we play it between two and three we’ll take the 10th caller to 1-800-232-KRTH (5784) to win a 4-Pack of tickets to the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show November 30th through December 9th at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
