Stars of the new reality series Married To The Army: Alaska joined The K-EARTH 101 Morning Show to talk about the season premiere of the show this Sunday, Nov. 18th at 10 p.m. on the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN).
Army wives Lindsey and Salina talked to Gary and Lisa about what to expect to see on the show and how they adjust to life in Alaska.
“I actually love [Alaska],” said Salina. “I’m looking forward to taking advantage of everything Alaska has to offer, because now I’m no longer pregnant so I get to enjoy things.”
She explains that during filming of the show, she was pregnant while her husband was on tour, and there is definitely some drama that took place during that hard time.
“You’ll def get a glimpse into all the drama with my pregnancy,” added Salina. “But also get a chance to see how all the wives band together to help me out, because I’m really in a precarious place in Alaska pregnant with my husband gone.”
So how did the seven member cast get picked to have their lives in Alaska documented for the show?
“They were basically just asking women that were married to soldiers to please apply so that they could have a chance to have their stories pulled,” said Lindsey. “This is the first time that the Pentagon has ever allowed cameras to capture the real life of army wives.”
Listen below to our full interview with Lindsey and Salina talking about this brand new show, and be sure to tune in this Sunday, Nov. 18 at 10 p.m. on OWN for the premiere!
