Rod Stewart was on Katie Couric’s new talk show Tuesday to talk about his wild rock star days and reveal some surprising secrets that he includes in his brand new autobiography.

His new autobiography aptly titled Rod is being acclaimed as “the most outrageous and wittiest rock autobiography of the decade” by the Daily News. Maybe that’s because of all the juicy personal tidbits he shares like the time Mick Jagger suggested to swap their lady partners for one night.

But one surprising detail he shared on the show was that he hated singing so much as a kid that he used to make a fake vomit out of his lunch just so he could get out of singing in front of his classmates.

Plus, Rod reveals the secret to his signature rooster hairdo. He uses nothing but sugar and warm water to make it stick up in the back!
