Continuing the big build-up for new album Music From Another Dimension!, Aerosmith have released the music video for new single “What Could Have Been Love.” The single, released August 22nd, spawns the second video from the new album, following “Legendary Child.”
The video fits with the song’s country vibe, showing Steven Tyler belting out the ballad over empty beer cans and liquor bottles in a dive bar filled with roughed-up clientele. Scenes of a young man driving along country roads, handing out symbolic “missing” posters with his face on them, are interspersed amidst the performance clips.
The video’s protagonist is on a nostalgic trip, remembering a former flame whom he later meets at the dive bar where Aerosmith is performing. After a steamy kiss between the reunited lovers, a rough-looking guy – apparently the girl’s new boyfriend – steps in and a nasty bar fight breaks out. The video ends abruptly, with virtually no resolution. Watch below.
After a number of delays, Aerosmith’s Music From Another Dimension! is set to be released November 6th.
