This afternoon on ‘Tickets @ 2′ it’s “Working My Way Back to You” by The Spinners. A song made popular by The Four Seasons in 1966, and again by The Spinners is 1979.

The song tells the story about a guy who cheated on his girlfriend. When she leaves, he realizes how much he loved her and is remorseful. He vows to win her love back.

The Spinners version peaked at # 2 on the chart and stayed there for two weeks, behind “Another Brick In The Wall” by Pink Floyd.

When we play it between two and three we’ll take caller number 7 by calling 1-800-232-KRTH (5784) to win a pair of tickets to see The Monkees at The Greek Theatre November 10th.
