All morning long, we’ve been talking about the hot topic of a TV news anchor, Jennifer Livingston, who was criticized for her weight in an email from a viewer.

Her decision to fight back to the cruel comments has received national attention overnight and puts the spotlight on both the topics of obesity and bullying in America.

Now, the viewer who sent in the email has been identified as Kenneth Krause, who the WKTB news station invited on the show to defend his side of the story, which he declined.

He did, however, release a statement in response to his initial email, and insisted in an interview that his email had nothing to do with bullying. In his response, Krause doesn’t take back his previous comments, but rather encourages Livingston to use this opportunity to adopt a healthier lifestyle.

“I hope she will finally take advantage of a rare and golden opportunity to influence the health and psychological well-being of coulee region children by transforming herself for all of her viewers to see over the next year, and, to that end, I would be absolutely pleased to offer Jennifer any advice or support she would be willing to accept,” read the statement.

The WKTB news station read the full statement on air, which you can listen to below. Tell us in the comments below, are his comments out of line?
