David Goldstein Investigates City Workers Paid To Sit At Home

CBS 2 news’ investigative reporter David Goldstein is back with all new hard-hitting stories creating controversy in L.A.

This time, David and his team discovered that many city workers are being paid on tax-payer money to sit at home and do nothing.

“We found dozens of employees that are being paid – some of them for two years – while an investigation is ongoing, they are told to sit at home; they collect their full salary, pension and everything.”

So how did they uncover this scandal?

David tells us they checked on the status of one city official they investigated eleven months ago for drinking on the job. He was put on paid administrative leave and they found out that he was still collecting his salary while on leave almost a year later.

Be sure to tune in to this investigation to find out what they discovered tonight at 11 p.m. on CBS 2.
