Did You Know: “Do You Believe In Love” By Huey Lewis & The News

Your ‘Tickets @ 2’ song of the day is “Do You Believe In Love?” by Huey Lewis & the News.

The song was written by John “Mutt” Lange, who was described as a studio rat, producing the band Clover when they were in Great Britain. Huey Lewis and keyboard player Sean Hopper were in Clover, recording this song three years later when they formed Huey Lewis & the News.

Clover had plenty of critical success in England, but it never translated to record sales. They were the back-up band for Elvis Costello on his first album, “My Aim Is True,” although Lewis was not part of those sessions.

Released in 1982 “Do You Believe In Love?” charted at #7.

We’ll take caller #9 at  1-800-232-KRTH (5784) when it plays between two and three to win a 4-Pack of tickets to see Batman Live at Staples Center.
