Our ‘Tickets @ 2′ song today is “Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This)” by the Eurythmics.

In the book Annie Lennox: The Biography, Lennox explained that this song is about the search for fulfillment, and the “Sweet Dreams” are desires that motivate us.

Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart were a couple for about 3 years while they were members of a band called The Tourists. They only wrote one song together during that time, an instrumental, but when The Tourists broke up, they formed The Eurythmics as a duo and began writing together.

Dave Stewart went on to become s successful record producer producing songs for the likes of Ringo and others.

When we play “Sweet Dreams” between two and three we’ll take caller # 7 at 1-800-232-KRTH (5784) to win a pair of tickets to see The Fab Four at the Grove of Anaheim in November.
