Did You Know: “Baby Hold On” By Eddie Money

This afternoon’s ‘Tickets @ 2′ song is “Baby Hold On” by Eddie Money.

Released in 1977 this was the first single for Eddie who was a New York cop before pursuing his music career. Money (real name: Edward Mahoney) wrote the song with his guitar player Jimmy Lyon. It’s simply about a couple struggling to hold on to their love during difficult times.

The song has what we call a cold vocal ending, which keeps us music hosts on alert, no feet up on the desk. Money exclaims, “Hold On’ and the song is over.

When we give it a spin between two and three we’ll take caller #7 at 1-800-232-KRTH (5784) to win a pair of tickets to see The Fab Four in November at The Grove of Anaheim.
