Today’s ‘Tickets @ 2′ song of the day is Barry White’s “You’re the First, the Last, My Everything.”

Barry’s friend Peter Radcliffe started writing this as a Country song called “You’re My First, You’re My Last, My In-Between,” but he couldn’t get it recorded for 21 years.

White recorded it as a Disco song, keeping most of the structure and two-thirds of the title, but he rewrote the lyrics.

When we play it between two and three we’ll be looking for caller #7 at 1-800-232-KRTH (5784) to win a pair of tickets to Pacific Symphony’s “Pirates of the Carribbean” at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre.
