If you thought all the drama after longtime anchor Ann Curry was axed on the Today Show stops once the cameras are rolling, think again.

During a segment featuring the women’s Olympic rowing team, Today Show Host Matt Lauer joked about the rowing team’s tradition of throwing the captain into the water after winning gold, saying “the tradition here in New York is you throw her in the Hudson River.”

Roker came back with, “Which is different from our tradition, which is to throw one of us under the bus.”
